The series consists of six episodes, each presenting two different stories about individuals and about what “home” means to them.  Stories range from that of a Columbian woman—who has lived most of her life in Iceland and who wants to be seen as an Icelander instead of a foreigner—to that of a young man who decided to move on his own, from the city to an isolated farm in the Icelandic countryside. 

 

Heima was first aired on Sjónvarp Símans  in November 2022 and continues to be available on their on-demand streaming platform.
